This course was built on wooded hills in the Wisconsin river country. The architect used the natural terrain to his advantage. The fast greens are medium to large sized, hold well and putt exceptional. Water hazards come into play on at least nine different occasions. The fairways are narrow. The University of Wisconsin golf team, which won the Big 10 championship in 1997, voted this course in their top 10. Walking the course is permitted after 3 PM.
