This facility, which was named to "GOLF Magazine's" 1998 list of "Silver Medal Resorts," is part of the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort. The course was built on hilly terrain and features numerous oak trees lining the fairways. You will do well to bring your straight shots with you due to the trees that can alter your shots if you are off the fairways. Due to the fast and very undulating greens, accurate putting becomes another major part of the game if you are looking for a good score. In addition, a dry creek bed runs throughout the course and comes into play several times. Due to the rolling hills, you should expect to have many uphill or downhill lies. Furthermore, many dogleg fairways are part of the design, so shaping the ball to the right or left will be a big advantage. The signature hole is #18, a 549-yard, par 5, requiring an approach shot over a creek to a double-tiered green, shared with the hole #9, protected by water on the left and bunkers on the right. The club provides you with a "tip sheet" on how to play each hole. There is also a yardage book that you can buy from the pro shop, which can be very helpful. Balls for the driving range are included with your green fee. Each cart has an ice chest, which the club personnel will fill for you. If you are staying at the resort, you may make your tee time reservation when you book your room accommodations.
