This course provides a good workout for those who enjoy walking. The fairways are narrow, and the greens are medium in size and speed. The Nueces River flows nearby the course, but it doesn't come into play. However, water hazards (ponds) do come into play on eight holes. Leon Howard designed the back nine, which opened in 1965.
