This flat course is nestled amongst 250-year-old oak trees draped in Spanish Moss. It was built on the site of two former southern plantations. The most difficult hole is #13, a 235-yard, par 3, requiring a shot over water to an island green. However, the hole most talked about by locals is #4, the most beautiful hole on the course. It is a 440-yard, par 4, featuring a narrow fairway and small green that are both framed by oak trees. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 10th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996, and also rated it 35th among the "Top 75 Public Courses" for 1990.
