This somewhat forgiving course features water hazards coming into play on sixteen holes. Yet, even though there are eighty-four acres of man-made ponds, the course still provides generous landing areas in the fairways. The speed of play is always maintained at a good tempo. Typically, players will deal with a constant breeze, but the greens are large and only slightly undulating. The most difficult hole is #9, a 433-yard, par 4, featuring water surrounding the entire hole and requiring an approach shot to an island green. In addition, holes #14 and #15 will also provide an exceptional view because their greens are back to back. The tin-roof clubhouse is designed as a fishing village and extends out over a lake.
