This course has some young trees lining its fairways. The average-sized greens feature some undulation. The signature hole is #5, a 165-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to a horseshoe island green surrounded by the J. Frank Powl Lake. There is also water that comes into play on holes #15 and #16, both par 4's. The dogleg fairways are quite difficult on this course, but some are wide open. The course underwent some renovations during 1997.
