This course is characterized by its gently rolling, wooded terrain and a proliferation of natural ponds. The design was constructed along Michigan's scenic Lower Peninsula. The mildly contoured fairways provide generous landing areas, and the moderate undulation of the greens make for subtle breaks. One of the more challenging holes is #13, a 504-yard, par 5. This hole features a dogleg left fairway and a creek running the length of the fairway, eventually crossing in front of the well-bunkered green. This club also boasts a first-class practice facility.
