Black Rock Golf Course
20025 Mt Aetna Rd
Hagerstown, Maryland 21742
Phone: 301-791-3040

This course was built on rolling hills and features well-bunkered, fast greens and open fairways. The rough is high, but the fairways are cut short. There are five ponds that come into play on eight holes, and the wind is frequently a major factor, so selecting the proper club can be a real challenge.

The signature hole is #13, a 423-yard, par 4, with trees lining the right side of the fairway and requiring an approach shot over water to an undulating green. Just to the right of the trees on the right side is an out-of-bounds area, which prevents cutting the dogleg fairway. Washington County residents pay $16.00 for 18-holes/ $10.00 for 9-holes weekdays, $20.00 for 18-holes weekends, and $14.00 for carts. Juniors under 17 and seniors over 60 pay $11.00 for 18-holes / $10.00 for 9-holes weekdays. Seniors pay $25.00 for a cart weekdays. Twilight rates are effective 3 hours prior to dusk, $12.00 for 18-holes / $25.00 with cart. The club also offers discounts to local high schools.
