Stow Acres Country Club, A Golf Tradition Since 1965
The Stow Acres Country Club offers fine golfing in Stow, Massachusetts. You have two 18 hole courses to choose from when visiting Stow. The courses were designed by Geoffrey Cornish and Bill Robinson in 1965. It now houses the Stow Acres Golf School as well. The course is described as bent grass is lined by a pine forest.
This award winning course has hosted the USGA Amateur Public Links Championship. It has been named 28th on Golf Digest’s America’s top 75 affordable courses in the past. Water hazards are present on seven hole son the north course and four on the south course. The south course is hilly and shorter than the north course. Several fairways are doglegged in design and feature bunkers, multi-tiers and sudden elevations.
The prize hole is the 9th on the North course, which challenges golfers with a meandering creek that runs alongside the green.. It’s listed as a par 4 hole with 478 yards of fairway.
Tee times begin at 8:00am and reservation need to be made at least six days in advance of your trip. Senior discounts are offered for the south course. The Stow Acres Country Club is open to the public beginning in April and continuing until the first of November every year.
Dress codes restrict denim and collarless shirts. Walking is allowed on the course and golf carts and clubs are available for rental from the Pro Shop which opens at 7:00am. A driving range is available from matts with pro teaching available.
