This course features the horseshoe-shaped St. Joseph River winding around its front nine. Overall, water hazards come into play on ten holes. In addition, approximately thirty well-positioned sand bunkers have been incorporated into the course design. The course was built in a gravel pit and its greens vary between small and large in size. The front nine is short and tight, while the back nine is more open. The front nine includes rare back-to-back par 3's. The signature hole is #15, a 470-yard, par 4, requiring a blind uphill approach shot to the green. The main objective is to hit the greens in regulation or you'll be in trouble.
