Indiana’s Brickyard Crossing Resort Golf Course

Indiana has many fine greens. The Brickyard Crossing in Indianapolis is a favorite for locals and visitors alike. It was built in 1993 and designed by Pete Dye. This is the site for the senior PGA’s annual Brickyard Crossing Championship. It was also voted as the best public golf course in the state of Indiana in 1996 by Golf Digest. It has ranked in several other best golf course ratings since then, often in the top ten.

The fairways weave around, in and through the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The mounded design of the green provides for some challenging golfing, even for a seasoned golfer. The nearby Little Eagle Creek intercepts eight different holes on the course, offering opportunities to loose your ball to the Little Eagle if you’re not careful. There’s also a pond near the 10th so try not to go wading.

Brickyard Crossing offers 18 holes of golf, and is open to the public. The course opens at 7:30 am, but you’ll need reservations at lest 14 days in advance to play. They open for play in April and continue until the end of October. There is a dress code if you want to visit Brickyard Crossing. No denim is allowed. Guests are required to arrive in a shirt with a collar and Bermuda length shorts. They clubhouse offers golf cart and golf club rentals. There are refreshments offered at the snack bar. There’s also a restaurant on site and a full bar, to celebrate that winning score.
