This course has one lake that comes into play on three holes. The fairways are flat and tree lined. The wind seems to always be present. This club was originally founded in 1895 and was listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S. In addition, "GOLF Magazine" recognized it in their 1995 list of "The First 100 Clubs in America." The 1906 U.S. Open was played here and was won by Alex Smith.
