This course was built on hilly terrain and has ponds coming into play on three holes. The rough is composed of a heather-type grass, and the numerous mounds and grassy hollows provide for an even greater challenge. "Golf Reporter" magazine claims that the only course in Georgia better than this one is Augusta National. "GOLF Magazine" touted it as being one of the best in the world. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 7th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996, and they also rated it as the 19th "Best in State" course for 1995-96.
