Golfers in the local area claim that this course is unsurpassed by the other local courses. This course has excellent greens and will provide a grueling test for your golfing skills. The finishing hole, a long 440-yard, par 4, plays extremely difficult because of a water hazard that comes into play alongside the fairway. The headquarters for David Leadbetter's golf academy are located at this club. In addition, the director of golf, Gregor Jamieson, was voted by "GOLF Magazine" as one of the top 100 golf instructors in the country. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 11th "Best in State" course for 1995-96, and 14th in 1997-98. In addition, "GOLFWEEK" chose the course 54th on its list of "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" for 1997, and 80th in 1998. "GOLF Magazine" made it 55th under the category of "Top 100 Courses in the U.S." for 1995, and 73rd in 1997.
